The Rear Satchel is a fully handsewn crossbody bag crafted entirely from horse culatta leather, built around an unconventional approach to material selection and construction.
The defining feature of the bag is its flap, cut from the centre of the horse culatta sheet — the area of leather directly above the horse’s anus. This particular section carries its own distinctive grain, scars and natural markings, making the flap a unique expression of the material.
Measuring approximately 45 × 30 × 20 cm, the Rear Satchel offers generous space for everyday use. Its belted closure allows the bag to be compressed or expanded depending on the tension applied, giving you flexibility in both its capacity and silhouette.

Material and care
Material notes
Full horse culatta carries distinctive grain, scars, and natural markings — especially across the centre section used for the flap.
These variations are embraced as part of each bag’s identity rather than imperfections.
Care & maintenance
- Avoid prolonged water exposure; allow to air-dry naturally if damp.
- Keep away from direct heat or prolonged sunlight.
- Condition sparingly with a neutral leather balm.
- Store in the included dust bag when not in use.
- Handle with clean hands to maintain an even patina.
